Comtrend Introduces New Wireless Cable Gateways
Comtrend Corporation, a global manufacturer and supplier of advanced networking solutions, today announced two new wireless gateways immediately available to cable operators.
Comtrend’s CM-6200un and CM-6300n are standards-compliant DOCSIS 2.0 and DOCSIS 3.0 residential gateways that are easy-to-install, remotely manageable and environmentally friendly. They share features such as a built-in firewall with Stateful Packet Inspection, intrusion detection and Denial of Service attack prevention to protect users from attacks over the Internet.
The CM-6200un (DOCSIS 2.0 compatible) represents a cost-competitive solution, with 150Mbps Wireless N and four Fast Ethernet (10/100) ports with auto-negotiation MDIX functionality. It also includes one USB 1.1 device port for additional networking options.
The CM-6300n (DOCSIS 3.0 compatible) is a state-of-the-art, 300Mbps wireless N gateway with four Gigabit (10/100/1000) ports with auto-negotiation MDIX functionality that are IPv6 compliant.
Both models are available today through select distributors.
