Comtrend and NISC Announce Their New Partnership to Enable a Truly-Integrated CPE and ACS Management Solution That Enhances the Customer’s Internet Experience

October 14, 2020

Comtrend’s robust Gateways combined with NISC’s User Services System creates a powerful and seamless management solution for the Telco and Utility Provider.

Comtrend, a leading provider of networking equipment for over 30 years, announced today its partnership with National Information Solutions Cooperative (NISC), a leading provider of software and solutions to utility and telecommunication companies. This partnership was uniquely created to enable Comtrend’s Gateways and NISC’s User Services System (USS) to seamlessly work together to deliver a powerful ACS remote management offering for the Provider.

Comtrend offers a proven and comprehensive xDSL and Ethernet Gateway product lineup, as well as mesh-enhanced wireless and unique G.hn powerline home networking technology. By choosing Comtrend equipment, the Provider is not only choosing hardware. They are choosing a company with over three decades of experience, more than 500 Telcos/Utilities serviced domestically, dedicated support, and top-tier distributors. Combined with NISC’s USS, Providers will have a diverse range of integrated solutions. NISC’s USS is a powerful, cloud-based tool that truly enhances customers’ Internet experience and reduces Provider’s truck rolls and customer support expenses. It includes ACS Management, WiFi & Device Administration, and Customer Self-Care Functionality.

Comtrend and NISC will be closely collaborating on promoting, offering, and supporting this CPE and ACS solution. Further, they will be working on certification, aligned roadmaps and vision, and integration to create a thorough and dependable remote CPE management and home networking solution. Their mutual goal is to deliver the highest satisfaction to the Providers and NISC Members. Comtrend North America’s Senior Director of Business Development, Bradley Joe, adds “Comtrend shares common values, vision, and history with NISC, and we believe that together, we will provide an exceptional experience for the Provider and their end customers.”

Melissa Simpler, Business Development Manager for NISC comments, “Many of NISC’s Members utilize Comtrend products and our two companies share a common prioritized commitment to serving the rural communication and utility provider service providers. We’re pleased Comtrend is recognizing and promoting NISC User Services System as a best-in-class premium ACS offering, and are excited to mutually prioritize joint development of quality combined solutions, powered by Broadband Forum standards, for our Providers and their subscribers.”

Many of Comtrend’s CPE are already certified on NISC’s USS. To learn more about the Comtrend and NISC partnership visit us.comtrend.com/nisc-partnership.
