Overview

The Comtrend MDU-4640 is a revolutionary G.hn wave2 over coaxial cable Head End with a flexible SFP/1GBase-T Ethernet uplink hybrid approach providing the broadband service under the current coaxial cable network to the cable TV subscriber.

Combining the coaxial cable and broadband technologies, the MDU-4640 includes an SFP cage for versatile uplink interfaces (such as for 1G AE/ 2.5G AE/ GPON ONU MAC/ 1000Base-T SFP module), or with the built-in Gigabit Ethernet Port (RJ-45) to the GPON ONU. The point-to-multipoint network allows one MDU-4640 connect to 16 G.hn over coaxial wave2 CPEs and provides up to 1.7Gbps bandwidth. In addition, the Cable TV service will still work well (co-existing with the G.hn broadband data network).
